Appellate Tribunal Allowed Ishaq Daar To Fight Senate Elections | Pkupdates
Lahore High Court Appeal Tribunal allowed former Finance Minister Ishaq Dar to fight Senate elections.
It is clear that February 12, the provincial election commission rejected the nomination papers of Isaac Dar on not giving certified declaration of election expenses.
However, Isaac Dar challenged the decision to reject nomination papers on February 15, while appealing to Lahore High Court Appeal Tribunal.
The request was stipulated that the Returning Officer dismissed the fact that the papers were rejected, while all the legal requirements were completed.
Ishaq Dar had said that the order of dismissing the nomination papers of retiring officer should be rejected.
Earlier, hearing the appeal of the Lahore High Court, the Lahore High Court Tribunal approved the rejection of the nomination papers of Ishaq Dar and allowed them to fight the Senate elections.
On the other hand, the Appeal Tribunal also allowed Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi's sister Saadia Abbasi and Nazih Sadiq to contest the Senate elections.
Senate elections will be held on March 3 next month and the PML (N) victory is likely to be held on all 12 constituencies due to heavy majority in the Punjab Assembly.
